After learning about working with metals, I realized just how “spoiled” I have been working in clay🫠. Never thought I’d be grateful one day for how effortless it is to slice a piece a clay..

There are a few things in the process that keep me “off centered”(which is preferred), being as childish as possible, and creating some noises, visually or abstractly.

Early experiment with mirrors.
The scale makes the essence of an mirror disappear, they’re no longer reflections of others and just their own beings. I imagine that must be a refreshing feeling for a mirror🥲.

Playing with a different way of building spaces between two forms. Made this piece in the early winter, It brings me a fuzzy warm feeling somehow.

I was gonna caption this with “greenware is one of those pottery terms that never clicked with me”, but it didn’t click with me. So this is what I ended up with. 🧋
